Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev arrived in Uzbekistan on 14 April with a working visit. President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov invited Mr. Nazarbaev to pay the visit to Uzbekistan. Shavkat Mirziyayev, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, welcomed the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev at the Tashkent Airport. The main events of the visit will take place on 15 April. Within the regular meeting at high level, the heads of the states will discuss current state and perspectives of development of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations in various areas, actual regional and international problems. The bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan made up over US$3 billion in 2015, including exports – US$2.2 billion and imports – US$0.85 billion. Uzbekistan exports to Kazakhstan fruits and textile products, vehicles, services, fertilizers, building materials and more. In turn, our country imports from Kazakhstan ferrous and nonferrous metals, fats, oils of animal and vegetable origin. Currently there are 206 enterprises with the participation of Kazakh capital - 171 joint enterprises and 35 enterprises with 100% Kazakhstan capital in Uzbekistan. Kazakhstan’s 3 companies are accredited, carrying out their activities in areas such as trade, transport and logistics, and other services, production of construction materials and consumer goods. In turn, 151 enterprises created with the participation of Uzbek capital operate on the territory of Kazakhstan.
