Nazarbayev lays flowers to burial site of Islam Karimov

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev laid the flowers to the burial site of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in Samarkand, the press service of Kazakh President said. During the ceremony, Nazarbaev noted that strong friendship, mutual understanding and support bound him with Islam Karimov. He said that future generations and state officials will always remember Islam Karimov. He said that future generations will study his rich heritage and results of state activities. He noted that his activities will be written with golden letters to history of the Uzbek people. Kazakh leader said that Islam Karimov was famous leader worldwide and development of economy and growth of prosperity of the country were connected with his name. “We lost great person,” Nazarbaev said. Nursultan Nazarbaev also noted great role of Islam Karimov in strengthening historic and strategic relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. He said Kazakhstan will be always with people of Uzbekistan and share their joy and sorrow. Nursultan Nazarbaev also met with the family of Islam Karimov and expressed deep condolences to them.
