Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In November 2020, the production of KIA K5 and Seltos models will begin at a new plant in Jizzakh. The production capacity of the ADM-Jizzakh plant, which in the future will produce models of other world brands, at the first stage will amount to 25,000 vehicles per year, and then will be increased to 100,000 vehicles.

ROODELL announces that from November 2020, assembly of the latest KIA Seltos and KIA K5 models will begin at the ADM-Jizzakh plant in the Jizzakh free economic zone (Jizzakh city, Republic of Uzbekistan). The plant is initially positioned as a multi-brand - in the future there will be established the production of cars of a number of other world famous brands. Cars manufactured in Uzbekistan will be exported to the CIS countries through partner dealer networks.

 “For the Uzbek market, the launch of a completely new private car production is not just a commercial event, but the result of ongoing economic reforms and the creation of new conditions for both investors and end consumers,” said Daniyar Davletiarov, CEO of Roodell. “We can say with confidence that a new milestone in automotive history has really begun in the country, associated with the production and entry of several global automotive brands into the Uzbek market at once. We create space for new investors, conditions for the formation of a market for the production and distribution of components, the construction of dealer and logistics centers. In the first year, we plan to launch the production of cars of three different well-known car brands at once."

Currently, the final stage of construction of a plant in the Jizzakh FEZ is underway and preparatory work is underway to install two production lines designed for the assembly of vehicles of various configurations.

At the first stage, the plant’s production capacity will be 25 thousand vehicles per year. At the second stage, by the end of 2022, as the lines with welding and body painting shops are put into operation, the capacity will increase to 100 thousand.

Localizing the production of auto components and creating new prospects for local and foreign enterprises is also one of the key tasks of Roodell.

The production line for the production of cars was created with the participation of the Russian regional headquarters of KIA Motors. The company has shared its experience and expertise with Roodell’s management and looks forward to a successful partnership.

In November 2020, the FEZ Jizzakh plant will begin production of the KIA K5 car, which has become a new global name for the business-class sedan, and the KIA Seltos compact crossover, which is considered a world sensation and has proven itself in many markets. Both models feature superior competitiveness in their respective segments, outstanding design, dynamic performance and user-friendly high-tech features.
